‘One Punch Man’ Season 2 Release Date No Chance For 2016? New OVA Coming This May

The “One Punch Man” season 2 release date may not be released this year. It was previously reported that the “One Punch Man” season 2  release date will be aired in Toonami before the year ends. The anime’s official Twitter account made the announcement two weeks ago. “‘One Punch Man’ no doubt will come to Toonami,” the Twitter account posted . “Probably by the end of the year.” It was noted that “One Punch Man” season 2 will see a civil war between the Hero’s Association and the hero hunter. There are speculations that the anime would be aired by the final quarter of this year or early 2017.
According to Yibada , the rumored “One Punch Man” season 2 release date should be “taken with a grain of salt.” Apparently, the tweet did not exactly reveal that it will be the second season of the anime. There is a big possibility that the one that will be aired on Toonami this year may be the English dub of “One Punch Man” season 1. Meanwhile, a new “One Punch Man” OVA is said to be released next month. Otaku Tale  reported that the first promotional trailer for the sixth OVA of the anime has been released. The special will be bundled in the sixth and last Blu-ray and DVD package of “One Punch Man.” It will be released on May 27. The “One Punch Man” OVA is entitled “Fukanou-sugiru Satsujin Jiken” (“The Murder Case that is Too Impossible”). It will feature the class S heroes as they go on a trip to the hot springs and solve a murder. Volume 6 of the anime will include “One Punch Man” episodes 11 and 12 as well as two episodes of the spin-off anime “One-Punch Man Hamidashi Gekijou” (“One-Punch Man Forced Out Theater”). It will also feature non credited versions of the Opening and Ending themes. The OVAs that have been released are: “A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close,” “The Pupil Who Is an Extremely Poor Talker,” “The Ninja Who is Too Complicated,” “Bang, Who is Too Overbearing” and “The Sisters Who Have Too Many Things Happening.”
