New Peter Pan Movie: The First Trailer For Pan Featuring New Comer Levi Miller In Titular Role And Hugh Jackman As Blackbeard! [VIDEO]

Warner Bros.

released the first trailer for “Pan,” which WB hopes will be a blockbuster tentpole when it hits the theaters next summer.

The upcoming 2015 fantasy film is directed by Joe Wright, who is known for more Oscar-friendly period pieces like “Atonement,” “Pride In Prejudice” and “Anna Karenina” and it stars Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried along with Levi Miller as the titular character.

Warner Bros.

dropped a slew of images from director Joe Wright’s lavishly fractured take on Peter Pan.

Well, we now have our very first moving look at Hugh Jackman’s Blackbeard, his flying ship and the title character of Pan in the first trailer.

The script for the film was listed on Hollywood’s 2013 Black List.

Warner Bros.

then set a release date for June 26, 2015 with Joe Wright as director on December 12, 2013.

However on January 17, 2014, the film’s release date was postponed to July 17, 2015.

Pan centers around the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland, offering a brand new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M.

Barrie.

Pan finds fun as well as dangers in the magical Neverland and he eventually discovers his destiny to become the hero who will forever be known as Peter Pan.

The film just doesn’t go back over the well-known tale of Wendy Darling and her brother’s adventure to Neverland but it revolves around Peter Pan’s backstory, which includes an unlikely friendship between the titular character and a young Captain Hook portrayed by Garrett Hedlund.

Blackbeard, played by an almost unrecognizable Hugh Jackman is Pan’s main rival.

On January 24, 2014, Jackman was officially cast as the pirate Blackbeared and new comer Levi Miller bagged the role of Peter Pan in March after a casting call was issued in February.

Rooney Mara portrayed the roles as Tiger Lily.

In April, Amanda Seyfried was cast.

In August, British model Cara Delevingne was chosen to play a mermaid.
