As Halloween 2015 grows closer, so does all the remaining animatronics that did not initially receive a nightmare version in “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.”
As for me, well, I’m still not playing the game in fear of Nightmare Fredbear.
Original creator Scott Cawthon has once again updated his official website with another “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” DLC teaser photo. This time, the photo appears to show the adorable plush Freddy, but with manipulation, some fans have discovered what looks to be a Nightmare Puppet.
As you could expect, fans in the official “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” Reddit thread are reacting to the new teaser with both excitement and fear.
“I think this has terrified me the most of this whole game. I mean the creepy blocky pixel look from being brightened is creepy, but the thought of waking up with that thing looming over you bed like that…” said MexicanYurtle.

Back in August, creator Scott Cawthon confirmed that the contents of the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” Halloween DLC would be an automatic update that added a cheat menu, challenge menu, and “a twist on a familiar minigame that provides a boost when playing challenge modes.” Fans have theorized that this means a new version of the Plush Trap game, but there’s always a possibility for Cawthon to surprise fans with more.
Unfortunately, players will still have scour the game for clues regarding the lock box, as Cawthon has confirmed he will not reveal the code to unlock it in the Halloween DLC.
The original version of “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” is currently available to purchase on Steam, iOS, and the Android platforms. The DLC is set to automatically update on Oct. 31.
Here’s hoping that for the first time in history, Cawthon will stick to his own release date. If not, expect the DLC to go live in the next 48 hours.
