Although a “Tekken X Street Fighter” release date hasn’t been set yet, rumors point out that new characters are expected to be introduced in the upcoming game.
Some sites such as Uber Gizmo , however, claim that Bandai Namco might introduce the game in 2016, five years since the crossover game was introduced.
Fans since then were worried about the fate of the game but got great news from Katsuhiro Harada, who revealedthat they are slowly working on the game, Famitsu reported.
“I’ve been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we’re at a pretty far stage into its development,” Harada said about the possible “Tekken X Street Fighter” release date. “It might seem like we haven’t started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago and we’ve already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems.”
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, Harada further talked about the release date of “Tekken X Street Fighter,” which he believes would come out by surprise anytime soon.
“It’s very difficult to talk about,” he said. “Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we’re currently looking at.”
“People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren’t going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don’t know if that’s what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise.”
Meanwhile, separate games like “Street Fighter 5” and “Tekken 7” haven’t had a release date for the consoles up to now but fans believe that the studio could possibly work on “Tekken X Street Fighter” once the standalone games come out.
