Junsu from South Korean K-pop trio JYJ gave a farewell to his fans on December 10. He is supposed to be joining his military duty in February next year. The 29-year-old will be serving his country for two years in military service.    He performed at “2016 Xia Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra Vol.5” which was held in eastern Seoul from Friday to Sunday. As reported in allkpop On the second day of the concert, he talked about his enlistment in the military, and said, “It felt a bit ironic to wear a military outfit for my ‘Tears of Heaven’ musical. This 5th ballad & musical concert is my last concert before I enlist. I think of it as having a short break time. I think it’s something that every Korean man has to do, and I’ll come back healthily. I want to give back all the love I’ve received after I’ve served.”
These statements were just to make his fans comfortable as he was leaving and was going to join military as a PR member of conscripted Policemen as reported by Yonhap News Agency . This meant he won’t be facing that kind of hardships as compared to those on active duty, and people were not very much pleased by his statement. (Photo : Facebook) In the concert, Junsu sang “Elizabeth”, “December” and “Tears in Heaven” which are considered his best songs in his six-year musical-career. Tickets for the three-day concert were sold out very fast. There were around 20,000 fans who went to get the last glimpse of the K-pop star. After being trained in Nonsan in February, Junsu will be dispatched to the Public Relations unit of Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency, according to the notice by Government. Even BIGBANG’s T.O.P will also be starting his mandatory military service on February 9, 2017 as a conscripted policemen. So Junsu will have some company as both of them will begin their training at the same period with other recruits.
