Next week, former Girls’ Generation member Jessica Jung will be stepping out in public in South Korea for the first time since she left the popular K-Pop group and SM Entertainment.
Jessica, who was removed from Girls’ Generation on September 30 by her former label SM Entertainment after citing scheduling conflicts due to Jessica’s involvement with her newly launched fashion company BLANC & ECLARE, has been focusing on her activities in the fashion industry for the past two months.
According to Dimaco, a promotional events company, the idol-turned designer is scheduled to make an appearance in Seoul on November 25.
Jessica is scheduled to attend Fendi’s opening event at the Lotte Mall in Jamsil, Seoul.
Jessica will be posing for press photos at the event.
Actress Song Ji Hyo, who is also well known as a cast member of SBS’s hit variety show Running Man, is also scheduled to appear at the event.
Since departing from Girls’ Generation, Jessica has made a few public appearances in China, but this will be the first time in months she will step out in front of the press in South Korea.
On October 16, Jessica attended the Lane Crawford first anniversary event in Shanghai’s Times Square as the head designer for her brand, a role that was announced a few days following news that she had left Girls’ Generation.
Less than two weeks later, she was a celebrity guest for the 2014 Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-AM golf tournament in Hainan where she played along with many Hollywood A-listers like Chris Evans, Gwenyth Paltrow, and Morgan Freeman.
“I’m going to be taking it step by step in the fashion industry,” she said in her an interview at the Lane Crawford event, her first since the career change revelation.
“I did not lose my passion for the entertainment industry, so for my fans, there are a lot of great things in the works.”
