MONSTA X's 'Oi' Flagged Inappropriate By KBS, Boy Band Lands No. 1 Spot On Billboard's World Albums Chart

  The music track “Oi” by MONSTA X has been flagged as “inappropriate for broadcast”. The announcement was made after KBS’ review on Wednesday, March 29. Apparently, the reason why MONSTA X’s track “Oi” was flagged by KBS was because of its lyrics containing slangs, reports All Kpop . “Oi” is the 5 th track of MONSTA X’s latest album “The Clan Pt. 2.5 – Beautiful”. Aside from MONSTA X’s “Oi”, KBS has also flagged ID’s “Taste the Party”, “Type”, and a track made by DJ Juice. MONSTA X has not released a statement regarding the matter yet.
MONSTA X’s “The Clan Pt. 2.5 – Beautiful” was released recently on March 21 under Starship Entertainment. The 10-track album is the final one of the group’s “The Clan” series of albums. MONSTA X’s “The Clan Pt. 2.5 – Beautiful” title song is titled “Beautiful” with its official music video released also in March 21. The album also includes the tracks “Ready or Not”, “Incomparable”, “Need U”, “Oi”, “Miss You”, “Calm Down”, “All I Do”, “5:14”, and “I’ll Be There”. MONSTA X has also struck gold for the album “The Clan Pt. 2.5 – Beautiful”, as it topped Billboard’s World Albums chart.  According to Billboard , “The Clan Pt. 2.5 – Beautiful” has already sold 1,000 copies in the America – the best week for MONSTA X to date. Billboard has also stated that MONSTA X has been rising steadily on their charts: “The Clan Pt. 1- Lost” achieved the No. 5 spot of Billboard’s World Album charts in May 2016. The album also retained the spot for 2 consecutive weeks. MONSTA X’s “The Clan Pt. 2 – Guilty” on the other hand, had achieved the No. 3 spot of Billboard’s World Album Charts”. The album also ranked No. 1 in the U.S and Japan iTunes K-pop World Album charts. Meanwhile, MONSTA X recently released a 25-second teaser clip for the Japanese version of “Hero”. The Japanese debut single of MONSTA X is slated to be released on May 17.
