An invite sent out by Microsoft to the Indian press reads, “Five days of magic of triple 5,” which hints the “5 x 5 x 5” idea that heralds the Microsoft Lumia 535.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 comes in a single-SIM and dual-Sim variants and was launched with a price of EUR 110 before taxes and subsidies, NDTV reported.
Both the single-SIM and dual-SIM variant of the unit bears the same specs.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 has a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a pixel density of 220 ppi.
The unit also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Under the hood, the Microsoft Lumia 535 has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor that clocks in at 1.2GHz and is powered with 1 GB of RAM.
Internal storage for the unit is at 8GB but thanks to Micro SD support, it can go up to 128 GB.
Similar to other Lumia devices, the Microsoft Lumia 535 include 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.
NDTV noted that one of the highlights of the Microsoft Lumia 535 is the 5MP front-facing camera similar to the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735.
Power for the device is powered with a 1905mAh battery and Microsft claims that it can give up to 23 days on standy mode.
Connectivity options for the Lumia 535 include Wi-Fi, DLNA and micro USB 2.0.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 is expected to be made available in other emerging markets like the Philippines and Indonesia.
But Microsoft says that the countries at the top of the list are Russia, India and China.
