Michelle Williams is raising her daughter with Heath Ledger alone, and she’s doing a very good job of it, apparently.

In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph , Health Ledger’s sister, Kate, heaped praises on how Michelle Williams is raising her daughter Matilda, now 9 years old.

“Michelle really does keep things real for her, and her existence, although different from most, is as normal as possible in an abnormal world,” Kate Ledger said.

The late “The Dark Knight” actor’s sister also said that she always make it a point to share stories to Heath Ledger’s daughter about what his father was like growing up.

She said, “I love telling [Matilda] stories about her daddy and how he grew up.

I think it’s so important for her to have a good sense of where she comes from in order for her to get to know herself.’ In an earlier interview for an Australian TV show, as shared by In Touch Weekly , Kim Ledger claimed that he sees a lot of Heath Ledger in his granddaughter’s traits.

“She’s got an enormous number of his mannerisms.

She’s very inquisitive, she’s got his energy…

Heath never slept from when he was two and Matilda’s like that,” he said.

“I mean she’s just got this ball of energy and she radiates this little aura, Heath was kind of like that.

So it’s fabulous really.” Kim also praised Michelle Williams for how she raised Heath Ledger’s daughter, Matilda.

He said, “[Matilda’s] always full of questions, always wanting to know this or that about her dad.

And I guess that will just get more intense as she gets older and obviously we would welcome that.” Heath Ledger died of overdose from prescription drugs in 2008.

His death was tragic in the sense that his turn as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” was seen as the benchmark for his peers of what it’s like to be a character actor.

Heath Ledger’s daughter inherited all his estate, which is estimated to be over $16 million.
