As “Doctor Who” season 9 continues filming, recent set photos have revealed more information on upcoming episodes, including Maisie Williams’ mysterious character.

According to set photos posted by Penarth Daily News , “Doctor Who” season 9 is currently filming in Cosmeston Mediaeval Village in Penarth until May 15.

“The restored mediaeval village was being transformed today as scenic constructors and props teams began turning it into perhaps Viking settlement or maybe what a mediaeval village might have looked like in some sort of parallel universe,” said the report.

In addition to these stunning set photos, photos of Maisie Williams have also surfaced, dressed in what appeared to be era-matching garments.

“There’s been a lot of speculation about whether she’s like a younger Clara or whether she is a new character completely,”  said  Williams to Alan Carr.

“I’m not going to tell you which one.

Whether she is good or bad is up for discussion, I think.

She does put the Doctor to the test and it’s sort of a dynamic that we haven’t seen before.” The episodes Williams is slated to appear in is also expected to debut a new monster.

On Tuesday, the official  “Doctor Who” Instagram  uploaded a mysterious photo showcasing a machine-like entity.

“What’s that in the shadows?” said the photo caption.

“New monster about to meet Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.” According to Doctor Who TV , the new monster is called Cyclone.
