Take-Two Interactive is having a great year as “Grand Theft Auto V” is surging in terms of sales which have now sold over 52 million copies worldwide.
Also, CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that an unannounced game will be revealed soon.
Could it be the “Mafia 3” release date?
VG 247 reported that the Take-Two CEO said that the company is having one of its best years ever because of the tremendous success of both “GTA 5” and “Evolve” for PC.
“During fiscal 2015, we seamlessly launched five triple-A titles for the holiday season led by ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ and ‘NBA 2K15’; added an exciting new franchise with the successful release of ‘Evolve’; and achieved record digitally-delivered revenue, including our highest-ever revenues from recurrent consumer spending,” the CEO said.
“Fiscal 2016 is off to a great start, highlighted by the April launch of ‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ for the PC, which has exceeded our expectations,” he added.
Zelnick also confirmed that the “NBA 2K” and “WWE 2K” series are also in the works, along with “Gearbox’s Battleborn” and “a soon-to-be announced new triple-A title from 2K” next year.
“Beyond fiscal 2016, we have a robust development pipeline and our Company is well-positioned to deliver growth and margin expansion over the long-term,” he added.
Earlier this year, “Mafia 3” has been confirmed by Rick Pasqualone, the voice actor of main protagonist Vito Scalleta.
But no info about the “Mafia 3” release date has been disclosed.
For those who do not know yet, Take-Two Interactive exclusively owns Rockstar Games, 2K Games and 2K Sports Publishing.
