Lupita Nyong’o has become the chic fashionista during her run in Public Theater production of “Eclipsed”. Looks like “Star Wars” actress has forgotten all the Hollywood heartaches, including her brief fling with Jared Leto!
According to Daily Mail , “Star Wars” actress looked absolutely radiant during her most recent outing in New York. The article reports that “Lupita Nyong’o certainly looked the part, wearing a blazer bedazzled with white stars while running errands in New York City. The 32-year-old bundled up while out in the city on Saturday, in skinny charcoal-colored jeans, a distressed grey sweater and a steel-toned scarf with lace detailing that she wrapped snug around her neck.”
Looks like Lupita is adjusting very well to the cold New York autumn.
In the light of her Public Theater debut, Lupita Nyong’o has grown out her hair for long braids towards the end of the summer. She has had done away with them for the moment, but her hair transformation has left all the fashionistas speechless.
According to Daily Mail, “She’s been growing out her close-cropped hairdo for months And Lupita Nyong’o revealed a brand new braided style as she stepped out in New York City on Wednesday afternoon, heading to rehearsals for her new off-Broadway play Eclipsed.”
Before this, “Star Wars” actress relaxed her hair to show off her curls, possibly to show the casting directors that she can also do romantic comedies. As she is looking to diversify the roles she plays, her gig at the Public Theater may hint towards the fact that she wants to branch out.
According to People Magazine, Lupita Nyong’o made an unofficial announcement to all casting agents in Hollywood for some roles in Rom Coms. She said, “I’m really dying to be in a comedy. I’d love to be in a love story! How about some of that?”
But she may be a little far from making romantic comedies right now. Lupita Nyong’o has chosen Broadway over Hollywood in her most recent announcement of roles. Maybe this was a way for her to put more distance between herself and Jared Leto.
And this particular role isn’t for light hearted either. She plays the heroine in “Eclipsed”, which is set in the Second Liberian Civil War.
Whatever the reason is, New York is glad to have Lupita Nyong’o and Jared Leto is definitely missing out.
