Lip Sync Battle, the spin-off show from the wildly popular segment on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon debuted last Thursday.

Hosted by rapper L.L.

Cool J, and model Chrissy Teigen, the show pits two celebrities against each other as they try to out lip-synch their opponent.

The show premiered with what fans call a star-studded guest list.

First up was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson versus Jimmy Fallon himself.

The Rock, wearing a T-shirt and pants performed Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.” Fallon, on the other hand, rocked to Harry Belafonte’s “Jump The Line.” “You can tell that he’s done this before in his bedroom,” Fallon said about The Rock’s performance.

Meanwhile, LL Cool J thought it was “from the soul.” The second round of the battle had The Rock dancing to the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive,” while Fallon performed Madonna’s “Like A Prayer,” wearing a gospel singer’s outfit.

Fallon’s performance was even backed by a full gospel choir.

The show’s premiere also featured a behind the scenes clip of Fallon undergoing a strict training regimen in preparation for his face-off with The Rock.

The comedian/host showed how he practiced his lip movements and yodeling exercises in front of the mirror.

It was decided that The Rock outperformed Fallon on the show’s very first episode, and the action star was awarded a championship belt.

Lip Sync Battle enjoyed a very popular run as a segment on “The Tonight Show,” with some very memorable performances by the likes of Joseph Gordon Levitt, Emma Stone, John Krasinski, Kevin Hart, and Will Ferrell.

The spin-off show, which airs on Spike, was announced in November of last year.

Jimmy Fallon teamed up with Stephen Merchant, and John Krasinski as producers of the show.

Rapper and actor Common and singer John Legend (co-host Chrissy Teigen’s husband) will face off in the next episode.
