Before the second movie has even released, Lionsgate announces that “Now You See Me 3” is already in development.
According to The Wrap , “Now You See Me: The Second Act’ doesn’t hit theaters until June 2016, but Lionsgate is already working on a sequel.
“We’ve already begun early planning for ‘Now You See Me 3,'” reveals studio CEO Jon Feltheimer.
NME reports that the CEO told analysts that “Now You See Me” which featured an ensemble cast playing bank-robbing magicians, became one of 2013’s summer’s box office hits, earning over $350 million worldwide from a budget of $75 million.
The sequel, which bears the subtitle “The Second Act,” has recently wrapped up with production and is set to hit theaters on Jun.

Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Woody Harrelson (True Detective), Dave Franco (Unfinished Business), Jesse Eisenberg (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice), Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight Rises), and Michael Caine (Kingsman: The Secret Service) will reprise their roles in the second installment, and will be joined by Daniel Radcliffe (Kill Your Darlings) and Lizzy Caplan (The Interview).
Isla Fisher, who is expecting a child, won’t return in the sequel.
