Linkin Park Has Plans For New Album; Band Celebrates 15 Years Of ‘Hybrid Theory’

A new Linkin Park album is reportedly on its way and could potentially come out in the latter months of 2016.
In a report by Empty Lighthouse Magazine , the band’s singer Mike Shinoda revealed in an interview that their follow up to “The Hunting Party” would be worked on immediately after they finish the last leg of the tour.

“All of the shows that we’ve been doing have been really really fun,” Shinoda said of the new Linkin Park album. “This is our last tour on this cycle and then we’ll get back and get focused on the next Linkin Park record. And we’re looking a next year sometime.”
The short interview was posted by the band in their official Instagram page and could be seen below.

Meanwhile, despite the new album news from Linkin Park, the band also is celebrating their debut record “Hybrid Theory,” which is tagged by some as the most successful debut record of the century .
In a report by Loud Wire , members of LP talked about how they started as in the scene as a group who was “doing what other bands were already doing.”
“We felt like, hey, we had stumbled upon something totally unique,” band guitarist Brad Delson explained in an interview with Madison.com . And then as these other bands started coming out, bands that already had record deals that were being widely promoted to the world, we were like, ‘Hey, crap, look at all these other groups are kind of doing what we’re doing,” recalled Delson, who added, “At that point [we said], ‘Hey, we’re obviously not the only band out there that’s combining rap and rock. Let’s be the best band out there that’s playing rap and rock.'”
