Lev Grossman’s best-selling books, “The Magicians,” has been confirmed as an upcoming television series for the Syfy channel.
The award-winning novelist and journalist said the following about the trilogy during a recent interview: “Ever since ‘The Magicians’ was published I’ve wanted to see this story on screen,” he said, according to TVbytheNumbers .
“The people, the school, the other worlds, the magic.
I’m so thrilled that it’s finally happening, and I’m beyond thrilled that we found the right people to do it.
Get ready; you’ve never seen anything like this.” Michael London and Janice William of Groundswell Productions will serve as executive producers of the series, which is set for a July production date.
A total of twelve episodes are slated for the first season. The plot of “The Magicians” follows Gwyn Giffiths, a descendant of magicians living in twentieth-century.
