Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are expecting, and the “Gossip Girl” actress might have been inspired by her former co-star and new mom, Blake Lively.

Popsugar  reported about the pregnancy of Leighton Meester and Adam Brody when the two had a date in Los Angeles last weekend.

The 29-year-old actress looked blooming as she flaunted her baby bump while her 35-year-old husband looked on.

The former teen stars’ private wedding took place in February 2014.

The child being carried by Leighton Meester will be her and Adam Brody’s first baby.

Radar Online  pointed out how Leighton Meester’s pregnancy closely followed that of her “Gossip Girl” co-star, Blake Lively.

The 27-year-old blond stunner gave birth to her daughter with Ryan Reynolds last December 2014.

Leighton Meester seemingly referred to Blake Lively when she told Nylon  last November 2014 about people around her who were having babies.

The doe-eyed singer-actress then hinted that she might want to follow suit.

“Most people I know are starting to get married.

It’ll be kids next,” she said.

“I like the grown-up stuff.

I like having a house.

I’ve got dogs.” The brunette also talked about maturing after “Gossip Girl,” the hit teen TV series that sent her and Blake Lively into stardom.

“I started the show when I was so young, and once it was over, I wanted to do things that were more exciting,” Leighton Meester said.

“[Things that were more] challenging and more me…

more my adult taste.” “Of course, that’s said with nothing but gratitude and love for that experience in that time of my life,” she clarified.

Leighton Meester played “Gossip Girl’s” infamous “Queen Bee” Blair Waldorf for five years.

Refusing to be stereotyped into the same character, the soon-to-be first-time mom explained roles for women in Hollywood.

“As far as scripts go, the roles of women standing alone on their own as whole, real, full people are few and far between,” she admitted.
