Lee Hyori Plans To Take 2-Year Hiatus From Entertainment Industry

Lee Hyori will be spending the next couple of years out of the limelight in order to focus on her personal life.
“For the time being, Lee Hyori will depart the entertainment world in order to have time to herself. That time will last around two years,” her representative said, reports Allkpop.

Lee Hyori has been keeping under the radar since late last year, and the fresh confirmation from her representative signals her desire to spend her time and energy on activities that are close to her heart.
Recently, Lee Hyori has been spotted volunteering in various organizations, including donating her belongings to be sold at a charity auction, as well as helping find homes for stray dogs.
The talented artist has also expressed her desire for greater privacy.
Back in June, in response to Jeju island tourists that had been ringing her door bell, she said that they refrain from doing so since it brings her family a lot of stress.
She has also deleted her blog and Twitter account, presumably in an attempt to further plug off from the frenzied entertainment world.
Observers note that Lee Hyori’s apparent transformation from a public entertainer to a more private individual followed her marriage to Lee Sang Soon. The couple married back in 2013.
