As fans anticipate her new album release, Lana Del Rey has revealed the progress of her upcoming record after it was announced that the new LP is expected to come out in September.
In a report by Music Mixdown , a Billboard report stated that the singer was already in the process of finishing up the record after she revealed that there were already nine songs ready for the disc since January.
Furthermore, the 29-year-old singer claimed that her new album will be significantly different from her previous release and that it would be like going back to her roots, as she expects the songs to be like her first two albums.
“It’s very different from the last one and similar to the first two, ‘Born to Die’ and ‘Paradise,'” Del Rey said in the interview.
“I finished my last one [Ultraviolence] in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea.
It’s growing into something I really like.
I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one.
It’s been good.” Ever since the interview, Lana was able to add a few songs to her repertoire including a few old unreleased tracks, which appeared in a “The Age of Adeline” trailer.
In addition to that, the singer is also in the middle of her “Endless Summer” tour, which started last May 7.
The new Lana Del Rey album is called “Honeymoon” and is expected to drop this fall.
