Set photos from “Kong: Skull Island” surface online.
Reel Tours Hawaii has posted a series of images on their Twitter showing massive set pieces and even a few talents on set.
The “Kong: Skull Island” set photos feature giant ape skulls as well as actors Samuel L. Jackson, Thomas Mann (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton) and Corey Hawkins (Romeo & Juliet) checking out vehicles that will be used in the film.
Along with Jackson, “Kong: Skull Island” will also star Tom Hiddleston (Thor: The Dark World), Brie Larson (21 Jump Street), John Goodman (The Gambler), Toby Kebell (Fantastic Four), Shea Whigham (Cop Car), John Ortiz (Silver Linings Playbook) and Tian Jing (From Vegas To Macau).
“Kong: Skull Island” is due out in March 10, 2017 from Legendary Pictures; it is the first of three films that will connect Godzilla and King Kong before their showdown in “Godzilla vs. King Kong” in 2020.
“Audiences really responded to Godzilla,” said Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull in a statement . “Today, I’m excited to reveal that film was only the beginning of an epic new entertainment universe. As a lifelong fan of these characters, I’ve always wanted to see the ultimate showdown, and today we’re pleased to be announcing that and more.”
Gareth Edwards’ “Godzilla 2” arrives in theaters on June 8, 2018. The release date of “Godzilla vs. Kong” is set for sometime in 2020.
