Kim Hyun Joong Comeback News: Kim Hyun Joong Loses License Over Drunk Driving Episode

Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong who recently completed his military service recently got his license suspended for drunk driving. The actor was not arrested by police but came to the station the following day with regard to the offense. According to early reports by Chonsunilbo , the actor fell asleep behind the wheel of his BMW as he awaited a traffic light to turn green last Sunday morning. The driver of the car behind him reported him to the police when the light turned and his car did not move.
Kim Hyun Joong was reportedly found by police fast asleep inside his car when they responded to the call. He was breathalyzed on the scene and was found to have 0.075 percent alcohol. Meanwhile, a report by Soompi cited the statement issued by his management KeyEast Entertainment dated March 30. According to KeyEast, Kim Hyun Joong was indeed drinking with his friends near his house at dawn when a parking attendant asked him to move his car. They said that the actor immediately attended to the request. The agency cited that Kim Hyun Joong has suffered for lack of sleep in the past ew days because he was so busy preparing for his concert, so his tiredness was also a factor behind him falling asleep behind the wheel. They clarified that contrary to reports, the actor also drove a short distance. “Regardless of the reason, it was wrong for Kim Hyun Joong to get behind the wheel and he understands that what he did is wrong and he is reflecting,” KeyEast said. “We will be careful so that this doesn’t happen again in the future.” Before entering the military, Kim Hyun Joong was the main rapper of the k-pop group SS501. He also grew popular as an actor after he starred in hit dramas like “Boys Over Flowers” and “Mischievous Kiss.”
