KARA member and solo artist Goo Hara may look like a prim princess, but she can strike quite a killer kung fu form.
Hara recently impressed viewers with her martial arts prowess in the first episode of SBS reality show Fists of Shaolin Temple that aired last Saturday, reports The Korea Times .
The 24-year-old idol surprised even her fellow female competitors with her ability to perform kung fu, also known as Chinese martial arts.
Hara and six other female celebrities, including fellow girl group idols miss A’s Fei and After School’s UEE, traveled to a Shaolin temple in China in order to train in martial arts.
But longtime fans of Hara should be familiar at the level of fitness their favorite idol has attained through pilates exercise and other workout regimens . With her history of physical training, Hara seems to be adapting easily to the physical rigors of Chinese martial arts.
Hara is showing her athletic side following a solo debut launch last July which showed her sweet and playful persona as she promoted the title track “Choco Chip Cookies.”
The second season of Fists of Shaolin Temple features an all-female cast following the all-male cast in the first season which aired in 2014.
