Also, he has revealed that their first boy group, 2PM, has earned the most for this year. Allkpop has reported that JYP’s CEO, Jung Wook, had an interview with the E-Daily. He revealed many things there and also some future plans for their artists. The CEO is very satisfied with the company’s performance for this year. He stated, “TWICE’s ‘Cheer Up’ ranking first place in the yearly chart symbolizes that JYP Entertainment is properly entering the new stage…TWICE was the first group that we produced after we changed our system.”
He said that Twice achievements were really good the girl group even exceeded the company’s expectation. He added that “The execution was better than we planned.” However, he also said that, “This is just the beginning for TWICE. They should stay humble because they still have a long way to go.” Since Twice debuted, JYP Entertainments has changed a lot of things within the company. They do not use JYP’s songs for their artists anymore. It was Black Eyed Pilseung who composed “Ooh Ahh”, “Cheer Up” and “TT” that made Twice this famous. The company also started listening to other staff’s comments about how they do and run things in the company. Meanwhile, he revealed that it is 2PM who made the biggest profit for JYP Entertainment. Since 2PM holds concerts in Japan regularly plus all the other solo tours and songs that they release, they have earned the biggest. CEO Jung Wook also shared that Twice is only in the fourth place. Suzy is second to 2PM while GOT7 follows her. JYP Entertainment’s CEO also explained that as the company is still changing and adjusting to the new model they are following, Twice has a really big potential to gain more profit. The CEO also proudly said that not only those four artists did well but Wonder Girls, Baek Yerin and Baek A Yeon all made great achievements this year. Many Korean and international Kpop fans agreed on this. As Netizen Buzz translated some of it, many were complementing JYP for a job well done this year. Are you proud of JYP artists too?
