‘Justice League’ Movie: Brainiac To Face Off With World’s Finest? DC Supergroup Will Struggle Against ‘Kryptonian Ultron!’

The ‘Justice League’ movie will unite some of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe.

Superman and Batman are already known as the “World’s Finest” and they will also be joined by Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern.

Who would make a formidable foe for them?

According to Latino Review’s El Mayimbe, speaking as a guest in a Schmoes Know podcast: “I’m told the set up is in Batman V Superman.

The rumor is that Brainiac is going to be the bad guy in Justice League.

And the set up of it is cool: remember how the Kryptonian beacon that Clark set off brought Zod to Earth? Brainiac heard it as well.

That’s what I’m hearing…

Basically Brainiac is going to be set up somehow at the end of Batman V Superman, from what I’m hearing, and then it goes into Justice League.” Screen Rant offers a briefing for the villain: “Hailing from Krypton, the being known as Brainiac is, as his name implies, a genius-level intelligence (it was the comic’s writers that actually coined the term).

The character has been changed plenty of times since first published, with the most recent New 52 version changing his origin to that of a brilliant alien, eventually shown as a sentient AI.

And with his ties to both Lex Luthor and his Kryptonite-powered henchman Metallo, it’s not a stretch to think that those same plot beats could be adapted at least in part for  Batman V Superman , thus revealing his existence for the following team-up movie.” If they go with the ‘sentient AI’ route, there will be comparisons to Ultron who will be the main villain in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and they may also tackle a familiar theme, according to What Culture : “Many of us depend on technology far more than we think we do; mobile phones, emails, iPods, and internet banking have become a standard part of most people’s lives.

If an artificial intelligence or alien being could control this technology we would be torn from the things we depend upon most and a strange fear would take hold of the population.” There was a similar scenario teased in Age of Ultron (from the trailer and spoiler rumors) and it would be interesting to compare the different approaches.

“Age of Ultron” has the first shot and “Justice League” will have its own take on November 17, 2017-exactly three years from now.
