It seemed the worst was over for the Jimmy Fallon injury news according to the “Tonight Show” host himself.
In a chat with Sirius XM more than two weeks ago, the “Tonight Show” host revealed that he’s just doing physical therapy now to get his ring finger back to feeling again.
“It’s fantastic,” he told Bill Carter about how he’s feeling. “All physical therapy now.”
He even shared that people around him have been telling him that doing therapy would do him good and he seemed to be starting to believe it.
“Everyone tells you — ‘you gotta do physical therapy!'” he pointed out. “Seriously, that’s the key — physical therapy.”
Although he’s been doing well, the only downer right now was he can’t play guitar.
“I still can’t,” he admitted. “I’m just doing as much physical therapy as I possibly can. I’m going to play guitar again but not the advance chords.”
In a cover story for Billboard just last month, it was mentioned that “he’ll require another surgery” as his injured finger remained in a bad state. It was not clear if the host has already undergone surgery.
But true enough, just a few weeks after the Billboard interview came out, Jimmy Fallon’s ring finger still looked bad as he showed it without bandage for the first time to Inside Edition during the 2015 Emmys. He also gave a news update about the wound.
“I took the bandage off today because I figured ‘why not? Maybe I have had it on too long?'” he told Deborah Norville. “I am in physical therapy right now. It is all about getting better now.”
It was in June when the “Tonight Show” host figured in the freak accident. After a two-week hiatus for the Fourth of July break, he told the audience how exactly the accident happened. He even said he couldn’t believe he almost lost his finger.
“I get up and am like, ‘Did I just break my finger? This is the lamest thing in the whole world, it looks fake – it looks like a cheap horror movie,'” Jimmy Fallon was quoted in saying by The Wrap when he shared some news about his injury in July.
