Jim Parson has accepted the offer to be Intel’s celebrity endorser, but as himself not his popular character in Big Bang Theory, Cnet reported.
Marianne Besch, executive creative at McGarryBowen, the agency behind the new Intel advertisement said that Parson depicts Intel’s vision.
, “Jim’s enthusiasm was so genuine and real.
When he actually saw the technology he became the embodiment of it,” Besch was quoted as saying.
One advertisement of Intel, we will see Parson trying to take a selfie at Intel’s laboratory wearing a grey suit, but was interrupted by a security guard who shooed him away but saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you’ve seen in here.” Parson however did not listen and actually passed on to another person what he saw at Intel.
Intel is trying to piggyback on Parson’s popularity because of the success of ‘Big Bang Theory’ where the actor plays the geeky but sometimes annoying Sheldon Cooper.
The Intel advert immediately gained attention especially its You Tube Page, which got 20,000 views in a day.
The Intel’s advert by Parson’s boast of their new offerings, which is, scans objects in 3D.
This is the first time that Parson has endorsed any product.
Parson is not the only popular cast of the show, recently most loved television sitcom is definitely moving up, as they will get their own Lego set.
The Big Bang Theory gang of scientists Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Howard (Simon Helberg), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), and Amy (Mayim Bialik and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) are going to be featured as a Lego set after getting 10,000 votes.
During the first episode of Big Bang Theory Season 8, Nielsen ratings showed that it was the most watched show with over 17 million viewership among adults 18-49.
It is so popular that it will run through Season 10 with the show casts getting big pay raises.
