Ji Chang Wook, Lee Sung Kyung To Return to Rom-com In SBS' 'Be Careful Of This Woman'

After starring in two straight action dramas “Healer” and “The K2”, it seems that actor Ji Chang Wook may be returning to the romantic drama scene for his next project. Ji Chang Wook, who was recently named as one of the most popular Korean actors among American K-drama fans, has reportedly been offered the lead role in SBS’ “Be Careful of this Woman” which is slated for release this year. According to a report by Soompi , SBS sources have confirmed that Ji Chang Wook has been offered a role in the workplace rom-com that revolves around crime, prosecutors and the courtroom. The role will be right up the actor’s alley after he has proven his mettle in lighthearted dramas such as the long-running “Smile Donghae.”
It has earlier been reported that “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” star Lee Sung Kyung has also been offered the lead female role in the series. Sources from her management, YG Entertainment, have confirmed that she was in the process of reviewing the offer. According to a report by Kpopstarz , Lee Sung Kyung was offered the part of a judicial trainee who will be suspected of murder. Unfortunately, no details of Ji Chang Wook’s role has yet been made available. While “Be Careful of this Woman” is being described as a romantic comedy, there is also a possibility that there will be some action and suspense elements as well. Early information about the drama hints that there will be a dangerous killer who will stalk the lead characters. If this will be the case, it should come as no problem as Ji Chang Wook’s wide experience in action and suspense has already been proven in his successful series. While Lee Sung Kyung nailed her role as the adorable yet tough weightlifter in “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo”, she has also proven her capability in dealing with heavier roles such as the mentally disturbed Baek in Ha in “Cheese in the Trap”. “Be Careful of this Woman” is expected to air on SBS this May. It will reportedly take on the Wednesday to Thursday slot.
