With controversies once again arising from its artists, former and current SM Entertainment idols have revamped their Instagram accounts to silence the noise.

On Tuesday, EXO fans discovered that Xiumin’s Instagram account was no longer active.

This occurred less than a month after Kai deactivated his account, and many are speculating why they decided to leave Instagram.

One popular observation is that their account deletions occurred just as rumors of EXO’s Huang Zi Tao (Tao) were surfacing.

Recently, SM Entertainment has confirmed that the record label is in talks with Tao and his father to resolve the issue.

“We are currently in the process of continuously discussing the various activities for Tao in China with Tao and his father,” read the statement according to Koreaboo .

“It’s unfortunate that Tao’s father would post such an article.

Nevertheless, through discussions with Tao’s father, we hope to explore his [Tao’s] developmental direction [to find a solution through a constructive way].” EXO’s Zhang Yi Xing (Lay) has also  deleted all of his Instagram posts  hours after the letter from Tao’s father surfaced online.

But it is not only current SM Entertainment artists who are going through changes with their social media accounts.

On Wednesday, former Girls’ Generation member Jessica Jung unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including several K-pop idols.

Observers noticed that the singer did the same with her Weibo account.

Jung was involved in controversy last year when both she and SM Entertainment confirmed her departure from Girls’ Generation, with Jung  alleging  that the launch of her fashion company was the catalyst for the dismissal.

Two weeks ago, celebrity relations guru specialist Reggie Martin uploaded an Instagram photo with Jung and British actor Daniel Radcliffe.

According to allkpop , this ignited rumors that Jung could be starring in the Hollywood sequel “Now You See Me 2,” which is filming in Macau with Radcliffe as part of its cast.
