‘iZombie’ Season 2 is coming back to live.

Variety reported that CW renewed ‘iZombie’ for a second season.

CW will let iZombie star Rose McIver live, or at least be undead long enough, to fight another day.

“iZombie” is a procedural comedy drama that stars McIver stars in iZombie as Olivia “Liv” Moore, a promising med student-turned-undead morgue tech that premiered midseason to steady ratings that made it CW’s second biggest hit after “The Flash” on the network’s new shows this season.

The ‘iZombie’  season 2 premiere date and episode number will be released at a later time.

iZombie is the work of Rob Thomas, who brought is “Veronica Mars,” “Party Down,” and “Cupid,” and Diane Ruggiero-Wright, who produced “Veronica Mars,” “The Ex List,” and “That’s Life.” The show is executive produced by Thomas, Ruggiero-Wright, Danielle Stokdyk, who were responsible for “Veronica Mars,” “Party Down,” and “Cupid,” and Dan Etheridge, who produced “The Carrie Diaries,” “Veronica Mars,” and “Party Down”.

iZombie’s season 1 finale is two weeks away.

Ravi (Rahul Kohli) was just bitten by a test rat and might get a taste for brains like Liv (McIver).

“iZombie” is loosely based on the hit DC/Vertigo comic series of the same name created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred.

iZombie joins CW’s “Arrow,” “Jane the Virgin,” “The Flash,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals,” “Supernatural,” “Reign” and “The 100” for continuing seasons.

The CW has made no official announcement on the medical drama “Hart of Dixie” or “The Messengers.”
