Though most of the latest Apple rumors pertain to iPhone 7, the possibility of iPhone 6S arriving in the near future also surfaces in the tech world.
If the Cupertino-based tech firm decides not to ditch the “S” model for its latest generation of iOS smartphone, Apple fans might be able to see the iPhone 6S as early as next year.
According to Stabley Times, the iPhone 6S release date can possibly be slated for September or October 2015.
Aside from the possible launch schedule, experts are also beginning to make speculations about the iPhone 6S specs.
If upgrades pattern from the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S will be considered, there’s a possibility for the iPhone 6S to get a better processor.
According to Latinos Post, the iPhone 5 is packed with an A6 chip while the iPhone 5S has an A7 processor.
And if the iPhone 6 arrives with an A8 chipset, is it likely for the iPhone 6S to be powered by an A9 chip? Furthermore, the iPhone 6 may also get the fingerprint scanning technology that is currently available for the latest iOS devices such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Air 2.
According to Tech Radar, it is also a good idea to remove the 16GB storage option, suggesting that the iPhone 6S gets at least a 32GB storage capacity while the iPhone 7 starts with 64 GB.
As for the camera, the iPhone 6S might get an 8MP primary camera with features such as Focus Fixels.
Citing Heavy , it would also be nice to see swappable lenses on the new iOS smartphone.
Another new feature rumored for the iPhone 6s is the wireless charging capacity as it may be packed with solar cells.
