iPhone 6S release date over the weekend had skyrocketing sales .
Apple’s smartphones always do well when it comes to sales since there is already a specific market that is loyal to Apple. However, the iPhone 6S release date sales reached figures that where mind-blowing and hit a new sales record for the company in just three days.
According to IGN, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus sold 13 million units during its launch weekend. The incredible amount of sales outdid the iPhone 6’s launch last year when 10 million people bought units within the same 3-day window.
The iPhone 6S and 6S plus looks just the same as the previous models but the differences will be noticed as soon as you hold one. There are new 5MP front and 12MP rear cameras, 2GB RAM, faster processors, more memory and an even stronger metal body.
CNET reported that the biggest change is the iPhone’s 3D Touch. This means that the smartphone’s touchscreen is now pressure-sensitive and that means that new options and shortcuts will be added in order to make the user experience seamless and effortless.
The iPhone 6S costs $650 for the 16 GB variant, $750 for the 64GB variant and $850 for the 128 GB variant. If the prices seem too steep Apple has a new pricing plan that starts at $32 per month for 24 months with the option to even upgrade to a new iPhone each year. This upgrade program is only available in the US for now.
The sales hope to increase with the iPhone 6S release date in 40 other countries approaching on Oct. 9. The smartphone will hopefully be available in over 130 countries by the end of the year.
