The newly-released “Insurgent” trailer left many stunned because the scene featuring Tris and her mother was considered bizarre.
In the teaser trailer, Tris (Shailene Woodley) is shown trying to save her mother (Ashley Judd) who’s in a burning house.
The house then lifts off and Tris manages to grab her mother.
They both flung into the window of an abandoned building.
Those who have seen the “Divergent” movie could attest that Tris’ mother died.
If such is the case, then why is she in the “Insurgent” trailer? As opposed to what other think that the scene is merely a dream, it is more feasible that Tris met her mother in her fear landscape.
In “Divergent,” it is common for Dauntless members to undergo a special kind of simulation to face their greatest fears.
Tris somehow blames herself for her mother’s death and it might have affected Tris’ fear landscape.
With Tris saving her mother in the scene, it means that she is trying her best to conquer her fear.
A different side of Tris will be shown in “Insurgent.” She deals with the various emotions that come with losing family members and friends.
Fans will be able to see the transition of Tris from a vulnerable girl to an independent one.
Previously, Theo James and Shailene Woodley hinted that the “Divergent” sequel would be an emotional one.
Woodley even told Hero Complex that her scenes with a particular someone made her feel exhausted: “Last week for three days in a row…
I was working with someone and we had a lot of emotional scenes together.
It was nice to go home at the end of the day and feel exhausted for exerting a lot of feeling versus exerting a lot of physical energy.” “Insurgent” will hit theater screens on March 20, 2015.
