Iggy Azalea just debuted a new look at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, also known as “BBMA.”
The 24-year-old Australian rapper was sporting a long bob hair with pink-colored ends, much like the ombre style that became a trend last year.
Matching her hair with pink makeup, Iggy was present at the awards show because she got nimoinated for 12 awards.
Aside from that, she was one of the performers for the night, as reported by Billboard .
As reported recently, the australian rapper just released a new song in collaboration with pop star Britney Spears.
Titled “Pretty Girls,” the song talks about how being pretty can get a girl pretty much everything.
A video was also released along with the song.
The video shows Iggy and Britney as two friends strolling around town in a top down.
Iggy plays an alien robot while Britney plays a normal human being.
The theme of the video is very much inclined to space and is being described by fans to be a video that has a lot of 90’s elements in it, nameley the bubblegum colors, the text fonts, and the outfits.
The new look was initially criticized by fans as something that has previously trended and faded away.
They say that Iggy Azalea’s choice to change her look into something that looked good a year ago is not helping her status, which has been reportedly dwindling lately despite her nominations.
As previously reported, Iggy has gone under fire for numerous comments made by the rapper about other rappers in the industry.
One of the notable rappers that she has been in feud with is Nicki Minaj, who has accused Iggy of not being a real rapper because she “doesn’t write her own lines.” Minaj previously accepted an award at an awards show and part of her speech was allegedly directed towards Iggy.
She said something about being recognized for the work she puts in, unlike other rappers who dont write their own songs.
Her statement quickly became viral as fans took it as an obvious attack against Iggy.
Another artist that Iggy has been in feud with is Azalea Banks.
Banks has previously attacked the australian rapper via twitter, when she said that Iggy is putting a bad name on rappers, like Minaj, she said that the “Pretty Girls” artist is not a real rapper and criticized her for being fair-skinned.
