Hugh Jackman Movies Coming Soon: “Wolverine” actor Hugh Jackman will next be seen on the big screen in a film about Olympian Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards in “Eddie The Eagle.” Edwards was England’s first ski jumper to enter the Winter Olympics.

According to reports, the Australian actor Hugh Jackman will play ski expert Chuck Berghorn who comes from Lake Placid to help Eddie get ready for the 1988 Winter Games in Calgary.

Edwards came from behind in two ski-jumping events to go out a winner.

“Eddie The Eagle” is being directed by Dexter Fletcher.

The 46-year-old Wolverine actor will star with Taron Egerto, who is playing Eddie.

Egerto reportedly beat out George MacKay, Jamie Bell and Daniel Kaluuya for the role.

Timothy Spall is under consideration to play Eddie’s father.

The Daily Mail reported that the Academy Award nominated, Golden Globe and Tony Award winning actor, Jackman will portray ski expert Chuck Berghorn.

Gary Barlow, the composer for “Finding Neverland” is reportedly going to write songs for the movie.

Eddie The Eagle will begin shooting this spring.

Jackman will next be seen as PT Barnun in the upcoming film “The Greatest Showman on Earth” which is set to be released on Christmas Day 2016.

Jackman can be seen now in The River On Broadway.
