A recently-released patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is said to include a number of glitches, including one which delete campaign progress.
Developers announced a software update which was released last Wednesday.
“This week’s content update, which was originally scheduled for release this Wednesday, 11/19, will now be releasing later this week to allow for additional fixes, as well as the completion of the testing and certification process,” 343 Industries wrote on the official Halo website.
343 Industries developers in charge of production for Halo: The Master Chief Collection have made a public apology for the game’s release date glitches and have announced fixes.
“From everyone at 343 Industries, we are truly sorry and feel your frustration,” 343 Industries Executive Producer Dan Ayoub wrote on Halo Waypoint.
“You deserve better and we are working day and night to find solutions as quickly as possible, with our first priority focused on matchmaking improvements.” Leaked footage of Halo: The Master Chief Collection was shown during a Twitch stream of the highly anticipated game, Joystiq reports, demonstrating some of the title’s gameplay features.
Microsoft Japan has announced that it will release an Xbox One bundle for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo 5: Guardians character Master Chief has been confirmed as the main character of the game, Game Rant reports.
One of the game’s voice actors Mike Coulter’s recent comment about Agent Lock being the “primary character” for the game spurred rumors about Master Chief not being the main character for the game.
“Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection is released, and then Halo 5 comes out shortly thereafter, you’re basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character,” Colter said, according to Polygon.
“I’ll have some cool weaponry, and some cool abilities, because by that time I’ll be a Spartan IV.”
