Guns N’ Roses will be on hiatus according to guitarist DJ Ashba.
Just a few months after announcing that they will be releasing a new album and possibly going on tour, he confirmed that the band will lay low for a while.
“Ever since I joined G N’R six years ago, it’s almost been non-stop touring.
But we’ve kind of talked of more touring, and I’m looking at this more as a hiatus than the end,” he told the Las Vegas Sun .
However, he guaranteed that the band will stay together and will make a return some time in the future.
“I’ve got his back whenever he needs me,” he says of Axl.
Looking at that last statement, it seems like Axl Rose is having some difficulties in his life yet again.
Fans know that the front man has a history of unpredictability.
Earlier this year, Axl Rose confirmed that they have two albums on hand, one that is new material while the other is a remix version of their 2008 album “Chinese Democracy.” ( via NME ) “We recorded a lot of things before ‘Chinese…’ was out,” said the singer.
“We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things.
But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of ‘Chinese…’.
That’s already recorded.
[The remix album has] been done for a while, too,” he added.
Richard Fortus also added that Slash collaborated with some of their materials.
“Some of the stuff come[s] from nothing and some of the stuff is stuff that we’ve been working on that were ideas that were already there,” guitarist Richard Fortus revealed in November.
“Some of the stuff Slash did – it was the beginning of the seed of the song that’s been around for a while.”
