Gigi Hadid Won’t Change Body Amid Shaming Issues; Flak Caused By Jealousy, Expert Says!

Amid the criticisms and body shaming comments that Gigi Hadid recently got, the supermodel maintains that she is still not changing her body.

According to Huffington Post , the 20-year-old A-list model took to Instagram her thoughts about the humiliation that she received because of being not as slender as the other models who appeared with her in a snap for the brand Tommy Hilfiger at the New York Fashion Week.
The daughter of Yolanda Foster, who is part of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast, admitted that she was hurt by the negative comments hurled at her.
“Yes, judgment on social media comes from people who, 99% of the time, have no idea what they’re talking about, but I’m human, and I’m not going to lie,” she wrote. “I did let the negativity get to me a little.”
Gigi Hadid also pointed out that despite the body shaming she got, she eventually realized that “when one gets to this point, it’s important to rethink why you’re doing what you do. What your message is. What you have to say.”
Furthermore, her Instagram post also clarified that she is not doing anything to shed off some pounds just to appease her detractors.
“Your mean comments don’t make me want to change my body, they don’t make me want to say no to the designers that ask me to be in their shows,” the step-daughter of record producer David Foster wrote. “And they definitely don’t change the designers opinions of me.”
“If I didn’t have the body I do, I wouldn’t have the career I do,” she added.
Meanwhile, University of Ottawa psychologist Tracy Vaillancourt told Global News  that those body shaming words against Gigi Hadid and “women’s viciousness ‘is born out of jealousy.'”
“I’m pretty sure the body-shamers wouldn’t say the same things in person,” she noted as she explained that bullies only find the courage to do it through the social media.
The expert continued by saying, “As we see more girls in sports and as they learn to compete in a healthy way, there will be less of this jealousy over appearance.”
In the middle of this body shaming issue against Gigi Hadid, many still believe that she is still one of this generation’s top models.
