Manga readers have long been gifted with anime adaptations, while light novel readers were often reduced to only waiting and hoping to see their favorite series turned into a visual medium.
Luckily with the success of several light novel adaptations, the medium is now another great source for great anime.
Earlier this week it was announced that “Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuko wo” or “Gifting the Wondering World with Blessings” light novel series would be adapted into an anime series.
No planned release date was announced, but with several novels in the series already published, the studio shouldn’t lack for material.
So far, fans are responding to the news of the adaptation with excitement.
“I love that so many good light novels are getting anime adaptations.
I’m looking forward to the day ‘Mushoku Tensei’ and ‘The Shield Knight’ get their own anime,” said Mico171 on CR.
Several key staff members and the studio responsible for the anime production was revealed alongside the adaptation announcement.
“Gifting the Wonderful World with Blessings” will be directed by Takaomi Kanasaki with character designs by Kouichi Kikuta.
Studio Deen will handle animation production with series composition by Makoto Uezu.
Crunchyroll describes the series of “Gifting the Wonderful World With Blessings” as follows: “The story follows a hikikomori (people who refuse to leave their house/room and isolate themselves from society) boy Kazuma Sato who loves playing games.
After he was killed in a traffic accident, a bishoujo girl named Aqua who claims to be a goddess appears to offer him a new life in a different world.” The description goes on: “She says he can bring one of his favorite things with him, and what he chooses is Aqua herself.
Then his new life to earn a living with her in a new world begins.”
