Gear Of War 4 Coming Next Year? Black Tusk Teases A Return To Basics, WWE Wrester BIg Show Says He Would Like To Be In The Game [PHOTO]

A lot of people thought the “Gears of War” franchise was dead after a fairly poor showing in its third installment.

After being sold to Black Tusk Studios by Microsoft the newest installment is in the works.”Gears of War 4″ is in the early stages of development.

The most recent news is American professional wrestler Paul Wight, akaBig Show, said he would  “love” to be in a future Gears of War game, during a recent video Q&A to promote WWE 2K15 .

“Sure, I’d love to be in a Gears [game],” he said.

“It’d be cool to be in a Gears of War.

I could dig that.” He went on to say that his character could be “like a better version of Cole Train or something.” Lester Speight, who voiced Cole Train, has also said he woundn’t mind reprising his role.

Reliable tipster Shinobi602 tweeted shinobi602 @shinobi602 , “Next year ” 2:16 PM – 12 Nov 2014 Shinobi’s previously accurate tips include the name of Halo 5, and  Guerrilla Game’s upcoming IP .

Since the IP changed hands recently a lot of fans have been wondering what to expect from the franchise in this latest installment.

Black Tusk producer Rod Fergusson  told Polygon  in a recent interview, “There are some things that even though people try to copy us, we don’t think they’ve nailed.

I think the cover system, there’s a feel to a Gears of War game that I’ve yet to find in another game where it feels the same.

Whether it’s the fluidity, the weight, the heaviness to the characters, the way that it feels like to be in cover, the roadie run character, those sorts of things.” A big problem was that the most recent installment of the game attempted to change the basic mechanics, and fans generally did not like it.

“With Black Tusk, we have to show that we have a legitimate claim to this IP and be able to show we know how to do it right before we do it differently,”Fergusson told  Polygon  in an interview.

“So I think there’s a combination.

It’s about finding the right things to change.

And there are some things that even though people try to copy us, we don’t think they’ve nailed.

I think the cover system, there’s a feel to a Gears of War game that I’ve yet to find in another game where it feels the same.

Whether it’s the fluidity, the weight, the heaviness to the characters, the way that it feels like to be in cover, the roadie run character, those sorts of things.

“So there’s things that I think are uniquely Gears that you just have to double down on, and then there’s things we go, ‘Hey, is there a way to be more contemporary with other mechanics that have maybe found their way into the genre that you have to take notice of?’ “Gears of War 4” is still in the infancy phase, and the release date would be late 2015 at the absolute earliest.

However there were reports that it was coming out earlier, which turned out to be the result of a hack.

According to  IGN  Spencer and Fergusson have also discussed “getting back to something,” he continued.

“I think [about] the story and the setting and what they’re going through as a band.

Gears of War, the name really meant something to what that game was about.

We need to get back to that.” He also reiterated that the next Gears of War is not a reboot.

Spencer is aware that “Judgment didn’t hit everybody’s needs and desires,” but said “I think we can continue, but we also have a new team.

Rod’s there to really help with the continuity.

We can really invest in this thing for  the next decade , which is how I want to think about it.”
