G-Dragon Continues to Soar High With 'Kwon Ji Yong', Ranking #5 on The Billboard's Rap Album Chart

G-Dragon continues to soar through unbelievable heights! His latest album “Kwon Ji Yong” still continues to achieve international recognition – proving K-pop’s success all over the world. G-Dragon’s “Kwon Ji Yong” still continues to achieve good recognition especially overseas since it was released on June 8. As reported by Koreaboo , G-Dragon’s latest EP made it into Billboard’s Rap Album Chart. G-Dragon’s “Kwon Ji Yong” ranked No. 5 on Billboard’s Rap Album Chart. The achievement of the BIGBANG member is the highest so far for a K-pop act.
With this, G-Dragon beat his previous record that was achieved by his previous album “Coup D’Etat”. When the album was released in 2013, it ranked No. 19 on Billboard’s Rap Album Chart. Speaking of records, G-Dragon’ latest EP has also managed to enter Billboard’s Canadian Album’s Chart making him the first K-pop artist to do so. “Kwon Ji Yong” ranked No. 52 on the said albums chart. G-Dragon has also managed to enter Billboard’s Top Album sales, making him the first ever Korean artist to do so. “Kwon Ji Yong” is currently ranked No. 47 on the said chart. In other news, G-Dragon’s agency YG Entertainment, made an 11 th  hour decision regarding his “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” world tour. According to Soompi , the agency has added 5 more cities to G-Dragon’s tour. These cities include Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Manila. G-Dragon will now be visiting a total of 24 cities to give joy to his solid fans. G-Dragon’s “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” tour kicked off in June 10 – 2 days after the release of “Kwon Ji Yong”. G-Dragon performed at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul. G-Dragon’s next stop will be in Singapore where he will be performing for two consecutive nights. He will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium starting Saturday, June 24 to Sunday, June 25. Congratulations, G-Dragon!
