Every month both the PlayStation and Xbox give away free games for their exclusive members to say “thank you” in a way for the continued support of gamers for their online services.
For the PlayStation, a PS Plus service gives away free games every month for their subscribers and for Microsoft, the Xbox Live Gold members.
So what does the two services have to offer for fans? In a report by the PlayStation Blog , PS Plus members could enjoy six titles for the month of May.
“Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition” and “Ether One” exclusively for the PS4, while “The Unfinished Swan,” “Race the Sun” and “Hohokum” can be downloaded for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
The sixth title in the list is “Murasaki Baby,” which is exclusive for the PS Vita.
For the PlayStation, more indie games are featured for download compared to the previous months where big gaming names were listed for free.
“Other games this month include the critically acclaimed indie project The Unfinished Swan, solar speed-demon Race the Sun, and the calmly explorative Hohokum, all of which are available on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.
As well as the oddly charming Murasaki Baby, available on PS Vita,” the post said.
On the other hand, Microsoft offers only four free games for their subscribers.
In a report by Major Nelson , “CastleStorm: Definitive Edition” and “Pool Nation FX” are offered for the Xbox One, while “Mafia II” and “F1 2013” will be available for download for free.
