Fans are still waiting for a new album from Frank Ocean and new reports emerge that the singer may have been working on a different release all along and could release it by surprise.
In a report by Australian News Network , it has been pointed out that Ocean may be working on a different producer all along in Sebastian.
According to the report, an article from Music Times revealed that Ed Banger’s Pedro Winter said that Frank Ocean and SebastiAn has already been working on “a few pieces” for the new album.
“They just finished the production for a few pieces for Frank Ocean – a very exciting collaboration – and then he can turn to his second album.”
This is now believed that the “Channel Orange” artist could possibly have cancelled “Boys Don’t Cry,” which was reported by Bet was being produced by Rick Rubin.
In the report, pianist Christophe Chassol said to have been working on the new Frank Ocean album in Abbey Road and confirmed that Rick Rubin was producing the record.
“Ocean invited me to Abbey Road to record on his album,” Chassol said. “I asked him how he heard about me. He told me his friend Diplo was listening a lot to [my album] Indiamore, and they started to listen to it, and they were wondering how I was doing the speech harmonization, so he called me. He asked me to do some speech harmonization on a song with him.”
Some publications however are now worried about the well beings of the 27-year-old singer, stating if everything is well for him. The singer intended to release the record in July but no words came out ever since and the musician even missed one appearance recently.
“As may already be obvious to you, it is no longer July,” The Verge reported. “It is also no longer the month after July. It is, in fact, September, and people are starting to get worried about the location and well-being of Mr. Ocean.”
