Frank Ocean Recorded New Album At Abbey Road; Rick Rubin And Christophe Chassol Reportedly Contributed To Record

Tagged to be one of the most anticipated album releases of the year, it has been revealed that Frank Ocean has been working at Abbey Road for his new album.

In a report by Bet , the singer has been confirmed to be working on the studio that The Beatles had made famous together with producer Rick Rubin and pianist Christophe Chassol.

Chassol talked to BBC  where he revealed how Frank Ocean invited him to work on his new album and talked about how the singer heard about him.

“Ocean invited me to Abbey Road to record on his album,” Chassol explained in an interview .”I asked him how he heard about me.

He told me his friend Diplo was listening a lot to [my album] Indiamore, and they started to listen to it, and they were wondering how I was doing the speech harmonization, so he called me.

He asked me to do some speech harmonization on a song with him.” In the same interview, the French pianist revealed how different it is for him to work on a different genre especially with all the money involved in the creation of Frank Ocean’s new album.

“We start to work on a track and he says, ‘This track is this’ — that car that you can see,” he said in the same interview.

“He makes me work on a song, and I’m like, ‘Oh this sounds like Pino Donaggio’s score for Blow Out by Brian De Palma’.

I start to work on a song and five minutes later on the Pro Tools screen you have the movie, the score, stretched to fit the song — just to try.

I’ve never worked with that much money in music.

It’s good sometimes to have money, because you can try things.” The record is expected to come out anytime this year.
