Former KARA member Nicole is officially back with her first solo album and is impressing fans with her evolution as a singer since leaving the group.
During a short interview session that took place during her debut showcase on November 19th, the former KARA member got a little emotional talking about her promotions for her new single, “Mama.” The singer talked briefly about the intense preparations she made for her comeback to the K-Pop music industry.
Exercising was definitely a big part of Nicole’s time away from the spotlight.
“I was obsessed with working out,” she said to the press.
“I worked out six times a week.” Since making her comeback as a soloist, the has cut back a little.
“Now, I go to the gym around four times a week.” On November 13th, Nicole uploaded a photo to Instagram of herself doing pilates and showing off her flexibility.
In addition to her exercise routines, Nicole also said that she prepared for her “Mama” debut with a strict diet.
“I don’t eat white rice, sugar, or carbonated drinks.
I like Korean food, fish, and kimchi stew, which I eat a lot,” she explained.
“This time around, I maintained my figure by losing weight gradually without focusing too much on numbers.” With Nicole making her hot solo debut, she also revealed how excited she is to be performing again for her fans.
Talking about the support she has gotten from her fans caused the singer to tear up a bit.
“Thank you for waiting for the past year,” Nicole said to her fans.
“Waiting for a year must be easier to say than do, but I am grateful for the supportive messages you have sent me through social media.
Thank you.” “I am about to tear up,” Nicole added as she continued.
“This is my first solo album, and I hope to make precious memories during my promotion period.
I hope to see you often.” Nicole has released the music video for her new single “Mama” on November 19.
