Renowned musical theater actress and former Fin.K.L member Ock Joo Hyun has taken on a new role, this time as a real life teacher
The 35-year-old was recently appointed as a visiting professor in the Theater department at Dankook University.
The star, who has received praise for her musical theater roles in recent years, was the lead singer of hit female group Fin.K.L during the late 1990s.
Ock Joo Hyun will join the faculty of the Theater and Film College at Dankook University on Wednesday, May 13.
She will reportedly teach a course that will be held once or twice per semester.
Focusing on body movements, voice, and facial expressions when it comes to music and theater, Ock Joo Hyun will teach a course that deals with the foundations of vocal projection along with the effects of dramatization.
“I’m excited and nervous about getting to teach such excellent students who I might have the chance to act on stage with one day, said Ock Joo Hyun.
“I plan to teach them about things you learn outside of school, and I want to vividly convey the responsibility and feelings of standing on the stage.” Ock Joo Hyun is currently in rehearsals for her upcoming musical Elisabeth in which she stars with R&B artist Se7en.
