Before the premiere of the “Doctor Who” 2014 Christmas special, encouraging news regarding season 9 have surfaced.
It appears that we have the first confirmed writer for “Doctor Who” season 9, and unlike the writers of the past six years of the series, Catherine Tregenna is female.
According to Doctor Who TV, Tregenna has previously written the “Torchwood” episodes “Out of Time,” “Captain Jack Harkness,” “Meat” and “Adam.”
“As other people have said, I don’t really care that she’s a woman,” commented Oodkind.
“As long as she writes good material, I’ll be happy.
At least now we won’t have to listen to the claims of sexism anymore.” “I’m genuinely no bothered by who writes the episodes, as long as they’re well-written, interesting stories and in the main that was what season 8 delivered very well,” wrote Planet of the Deaf.
“Indeed I’d be more interested to find out from Tregenna whether one of the characters she’s writing for is a certain Clara Oswald.” By all accounts, it is believed that the current “Doctor Who” companion Clara Oswald could be exiting the series during the 2014 Christmas special, “Last Christmas.” Recently, the synopsis for the “Doctor Who” 2014 Christmas special has surfaced.
“The Doctor and Clara face their Last Christmas.
Trapped on an Arctic base, under attack from terrifying creatures, who are you going to call? Santa Claus!” While Whovians don’t know the answer to Clara’s fate quite yet, some do have theories on the monster that might be involved in the “Doctor Who” 2014 Christmas special.
“I’m almost positive that the monsters will be the Krynoids,” theorized jamesanash101.
“I mean, an Arctic base, creatures rising from stretchers, those faces.
The whole thing seems to scream ‘The Seeds of Doom.'”
