Feast Your Ears On ‘Motherfucker’ The First Faith No More Single In 17 Years [AUDIO]

Faith No More return with new music for the first time in 18 years and it’s a “Motherfucker” of a song.

Faith No More released “Motherfucker,” the first single from their upcoming seventh studio album.

This will be the alt-metal band’s first studio recording since they broke up in 1998.

“Motherfucker” will be released for Record Store Day’s Black Friday on November 28.

The single will be released digitally on December 9.

The forthcoming Faith No More LP, which will be the band’s first since 1997, will come out on Reclamation Recordings/Ipecac Recordings in April 2015.

“It feels apt that the first track we’re releasing is ‘Motherfucker’, a song about accountability,” said the band’s keyboardist Roddy Bottum.

“Basically we’ve created, recorded and mixed a new body of work by ourselves and we’re releasing it on our own label.

It’s a huge deal for us to only have ourselves to answer to at this point in our career and the song is about that, where the buck stops via the basic imagery of foie gras production, bondage…

y’know, stuff like that.” Faith No More is comprised of Mike Bordin on drums, Roddy Bottum on keyboards, Bill Gould on bass, Jon Hudson on guitar and singer Mike Patton.

Faith No More reunited in 2009 for a series of sold-out performances and international festivals.

The new album was recorded in an Oakland, California studio.

It was produced by bassist Bill Gould.

The album will come out on the band’s newly formed imprint Reclamation Recordings and distributed by Ipecac Recordings.

Bill Gould told Revolver Magazine the new album will be “much different than everything else out there – but that’s sort of the point.

It’s a combination of what we don’t hear in the outside world and what we feel is lacking from other bands.

And in the end, it will sound like Faith No More.” Before the release of the as-yet-untitled album, Faith No More will headline Australia’s Soundwave festival in February 2015 and an international tour: 02-17 Tokyo, Japan – Studio Coast 02-18 Tokyo, Japan – Studio Coast 02-21 Adelaide, Australia – Soundwave Festival 02-22 Melbourne, Australia – Soundwave Festival 02-28 Sydney, Australia – Soundwave Festival 03-01 Brisbane, Australia – Soundwave Festival 03-03 Auckland, New Zealand – Westfest 05-29 Nurburgring, Germany – Grune Holle Festival 05-31 Munich, Germany – Rockavaria Festival 06-04 Vienna, Australia – Vienne Rocks Festival 06-13 Donington, England – Download Festival 06-20 Clisson, France – Hellfest
