The much-anticipated spinoff of “The Walking Dead,” “Fear The Walking Dead” is expected to hit television this summer.
In a report by Rolling Stone , the executive producer Dave Erickson has revealed plot details of the show.
The showrunner, who also worked on “Sons Of Anarchy” revealed that the “Fear The Walking Dead” show would happen in Los Angeles, the time when Rick Grimes was in a comma in Atlanta.
The show was also believed to start before the outbreak happened although the origin of the sickness will not be disclosed.
“More of a parallel story than a prequel…It’s kind of its own strange, hybrid thing.” Erickson said.
“For [Kirkman], it’s never been about what caused it; it’s always been about the impact it has on people.” Since it was revealed that the show would happen during the time the group of Rick Grimes is in Atlanta, he revealed that a possibility of the two groups meeting up in the show is not a possibility for now.
“I think logistically, it would be very difficult,” he said.
“There are no plans to do so but I do think that’s a world that could be explored at some point.” Just like the mother show, characters for the “Fear The Walking Dead” would not be safe from any zombie bites and their place on the show.
“Anybody can be eaten at any time; it can happen to anyone,” Erikson added.
“No one is safe, but I also have some specific arcs in my head that will probably protect certain people.” “Fear The Walking Dead” will air on AMC this summer and would have six episodes for its first season.
