“Fashion Police” news reported how Melissa Rivers slammed Kathy Griffin and Zendaya Coleman after the show’s recent controversies.
According to a report from New York Daily News , Joan Rivers’ daughter seems to be siding with Giuliana Rancic on the said issue, which allegedly caused the departure of “Fashion Police” hosts.
“I’m just going to say it wasn’t a match on a lot of levels,” Melissa Rivers said about Kathy Griffin replacing Joan Rivers.
“Fashion Police” made news last year after the iconic comedienne’s botched throat operation at Yorkville Endoscopy led to her untimely death on Sept.
The redhead comedienne then filled in for Joan Rivers, but was considered by many to have fallen short.
Kathy Griffin most especially made “Fashion Police” news after making controversial statements about Giuliana Rancic’s alleged racial jokes about Zendaya Coleman.
Melissa Rivers said, “My biggest complaint was the feeling that she kind of s— all over my mother’s legacy in her statement on leaving.
And I know that that was not an intentional reading of it, but that’s how I felt.
But I know that wasn’t how it was intended.” “I understand what you’re doing.
You’re trying to save yourself, but don’t crap all over my mother to do it,” the 47-year-old said.
Melissa Rivers also pointed out how Zendaya Coleman might have aggravated what could have been a simple misunderstanding.
“‘Fashion Police’ was this little jewel, and it was the last piece I had of my mother and I working together,” Melissa Rivers said.
“And I felt like all these people were so out of control – including the one who made the allegations of racism – they took the last thing I had and smashed it.” After apologizing for the racial joke, “Fashion Police” news reported by USA Today confirmed that Giuliana Rancic will still be part of the series.
The show will be back on September for the 2015 Emmy Awards review.
“I think more than ever, (Fashion Police) is definitely coming back, because (the Zendaya controversy and Kelly Osbourne’s departure) shows that a lot of people were watching the show and enjoyed the show,” Giuliana Rancic said.
