Fans of TVXQ’s leader, Jung Yunho, came together to donate over 5.9 tons of rice to the Yangju area.
The singer began his mandatory military service this past July enlisting in the 26th Division of Yangju. Fans donated the rice to the less fortunate community residents within the Yangju area located in the Gyeonggi-do province. According to the Korea Times, the fans gathered an estimated $19,455 worth of rice to distribute altogether.
Yunho has been serving as an active duty soldier since July after completing his 5-week military training period. The singer also made headlines earlier this month after news broke that he and former TVXQ band mate JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong reunited . Various fancams and photos were taken of the two during the 13th Ground Forces Festival.
Fellow band mate, Shim Changmin, is also expected to enlist before the end of the year.
